National Historical Museum

Museo Historico Nacional

Defensa 1600 - Phone: 4307-1182
Timetable: Tuesday to Sunday 11 am to 6 pm.

Founded in 1889, in this museum you can visit key pieces of the Argentinean history: exotic pieces such as San Martin's campaign cot, Juan Manuel de Rosas' armchair and guitar, the inkwell that the Representatives of the Provinces used to sign the 1853 National Constitution, and Mariquita Sanchez de Thompson's piano. There also are 32 oil paintings on the war with Paraguay of the artist Candido Lopez that are worthwhile the visit to the museum. You may get there with Subway Line C exit Estacion Constitucion.

Spend your best vacation rentals in Buenos Aires renting apartments instead of checking into hotels. You will enjoy more flexibility, more room, more amenities such as a full kitchen or kitchinette and all of them for less money.

San Telmo Flea Market

Feria de San Telmo

Sundays as of 10 am. Dorrego Square gets ready for partying. Hundreds of antique stands offer relics at affordable prices; and tango dancers, artists and picturesque characters are worthwhile the show. The cafes around the square offer different kind of food, that together with draft beer crowns the visit. We recommend Plaza Dorrego Cafe. From your Buenos Aires vacation rentals take Subway Line C exit Estacion San Juan.
